This week ended on a pretty good note. I was able to reach a looming project deadline, finally pinpointed the culprit of my allergies , and a ill family member started showing improvement. Like most weeks I decided to finish things off with a file backup. (I don’t trust hard drives and do weekly DVD backups of my work files) Well to make a long story short , I somehow managed to delete my master files for the last eppy of Eight Bit Strange before I was able to drop them on a DVD. How this happened …. I have no idea but it did. The good news is that I still have the master HD video file but if I wanted to make any animation changes I’m shit out of luck unless I want to redo the whole thing. So I hope everyone likes the episode as it is. Speaking of the eppy, I still have no stable release date on it but the fine folks at gametrailers.com have it now and will be releasing it in HD. That’s right , the pilot eppy made a big enough buzz so I thank every one who commented and rated “Enter Snake”
Now onto the game stuff. I finally got around to picking up StarCraft II and must say that the game feels just as good as the original. I was skeptical that I may have grown out of the whole RTS thing (I hated the last C&C) , but to my surprise I am really enjoying the production value that went into SC2. Yes , it’s pretty much the same game that I used to play in my teens over a dial-up modem, but it has a new face lift and feels very comfortable. This comfort is apparent on all levels and I believe this is what makes the game such a success. Who want to play a game that stresses them out , right? I know I don’t. So if you haven’t picked it up or were thinking about trying out a RTS game, this is the only one I’d recommend.
