Eight Bit Strange
Stage, Stunts and Chemo

Just finished up setting up the stage for the next episode of Eight Bit Strange. A lot of modeling and texturing went into this set but I was able to wrap it all up a day ahead of schedule. Now it’s time to start the animating process which I hope to have finished by the 15th if all goes according to plan. I’m pushing the limit on the this production, I’m going for 5 characters as well as a lot of mechanical contraptions which all have to be animated by hand , so it’s pretty much crunch time from the get go. I’m hoping to push the time duration as well since a lot of people have been asking for slightly longer episodes. There’s not much I can leak regarding the new episode, but I will say that another character will be revealed.

Onto some retro gaming stuff. Today I must revive “Stunt Driver” a classic 3D driving sim which was super cool back in the days of 33mhz computers. This was the first true 3D game I played and the design was very solid that is still in use today. It came with a track editor, 3D replays, and  allowed for online (modem -to- modem) Most importantly is was wicked fun to crash the Mustang Shelby while trying to complete a vertical loop. Stunt Driver is now considered abandonware and can be downloaded free of charge, just google it.

And onto the the serious issue. My wife dad is starting chemotherapy tomorrow in his battle against colon and liver cancer. If  you happen to be reading this, please send positive thoughts Ted’s way, he could really use the energy.

Thank you so much for supporting me in my animated endeavors , you guys ROCK!
