Stage, Stunts and Chemo
Just finished up setting up the stage for the next episode of Eight Bit Strange. A lot of modeling and texturing went into this set but I was able to wrap it all up a day ahead of schedule. Now it’s time to start the animating process which I hope to have finished by the 15th if all goes according to plan. I’m pushing the limit on the this production, I’m going for 5 characters...

Lost Files and StarCraft 2
This week ended on a pretty good note. I was able to reach a looming project deadline, finally pinpointed the culprit of my allergies , and a ill family member started showing improvement. Like most weeks I decided to finish things off with a file backup.  (I don’t trust hard drives and do weekly DVD backups of my work files) Well to make a long story short , I somehow managed to delete my...

WatchWatch
Here is a first out of (hopefully) many game related animations I whip up. Enter Snake is based on the MGS series. Let me know if I’m heading in the right direction with these :) Comments greatly appreciated. Thanks and enjoy. Do me a solid and drop a comment on the gametrailers http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/eight-bit-strange-enter-snake/347729 » HD Version Here

Nodes, Layers and Police Quest Retrospect
I finally had a chance to tryout Nuke. For those of you who are not familiar with the program, it’s a node based compositing tool. Think of After Effects on steroids. Nuke looks unconventional at first but then quickly grows on you. I was surprised how fast and responsive it is when compared to AE. Animation Papers (The Dreaded Question)
Greg’s Animation Papers (The Dreaded Question)  We often get questions over at the AnimationForum regarding what software is BEST. These type of questions make me chuckle inside for the obvious reasons, it’s not about the software but about the animator. But then once in a blue moon I catch a glimpse of my former self and realize I too had this question years ago. I wanted to start on the...
